What are the differences between pure copper, pure aluminum, and copper-clad aluminum transformers? How should you choose one?
The transformer is the core component of all pulse heat sealers. There are three types of transformers available on the market, and while their prices vary, there are significant differences in performance:
.

Industry Alert: It is common in the market for aluminum-clad copper transformers to be sold as “pure copper” products, and this cannot be distinguished by the naked eye. Here’s how to tell the difference: Bend the transformer leads with force; pure copper wire is flexible and resistant to breaking, while aluminum wire breaks easily. You can also compare the transformer’s weight with its specifications: for the same volume, copper is significantly heavier.
YGPACK solemnly promises: All YGPACK equipment is equipped with compliant, pure copper transformers. We specify the weight of the copper (in grams) in every product specification sheet, and we welcome customers to disassemble the unit for inspection upon receipt.
