What are the different types of vacuum pressure gauges? Which one should you choose?

Vacuum pressure gauges are used to measure the negative pressure inside vacuum sealing machines and display the actual amount of air evacuated from the packaging bags. Since the performance of different pressure gauges varies, the type of pressure gauge installed on the equipment directly affects the reliability of sealing quality monitoring.

Important Note: The operating vacuum range for standard industrial vacuum sealers is –80 kPa to –99 kPa. If the reading consistently remains above –60 kPa (insufficient vacuum), this indicates wear on the vacuum pump, a leak in the seal, or a clogged filter, and is not considered normal operation.

Common Pitfalls in Purchasing: Many budget-friendly units are equipped with analog gauges that are purely decorative and are not connected to an actual vacuum circuit. How to Test: Seal the bag opening without actually sealing it, then start the operating cycle. The needle on a genuine pressure gauge will move and remain at the highest vacuum reading during the pressure-holding phase.

YGPACK Standard Configuration: All YGPACK chamber-type vacuum machines are equipped with calibrated digital pressure sensors with an accuracy of ±1.5%, and the readings are displayed on the control panel. Each unit is tested before shipment to ensure that the pressure gauge meets accuracy standards.
